KARAK: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Siraj ul Haq, proposed the name of distinguished nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan as an interim Prime Minister in recognition of his services for the country on Sunday. In his address to large public gathering, he said that Dr. A.Q. Khan is an undisputed personality who has rendered unforgettable service of building nuclear bomb for Pakistan.
He said that India has honored the nuclear scientist Abdul Kalam by electing him as the president of the country. On the contrary, he said that General Pervez Musharaf imposed restrictions on Dr. A.Q. Khan and kept him under detention due to US pressure.
“The nomination of Dr. A.Q. Khan as interim Prime Minister would be a humble tribute to him for his services and a reimbursement for the wrong done to the national hero by former military dictator,” he added.
JI chief congratulated Chinese leader Xi Jinping on his re-election as Chinese President and further expressed hope that his leadership would pave way for further prosperity in the region.
Siraj ul Haq urged electorate to transform the day of election into a Doomsday for the corrupt leaders by voting the candidates known for their love for Islam and country as this would solve the problems in the spheres of education, health and dispensation of justice. “New leadership is essential to end the era of tyranny and exploitation,” he said.
He said that JI wants ‘Khilafat’ system to be implemented in the country where state institutions and government functionaries serve masses.
Regarding senate elections, he said that unlike other members of the assembly, conscience of JI members couldn’t be bought.
“If JI comes into power, unemployment allowance would be granted to unemployed youth whereas old age allowance would be given to senior citizens. The treatment charges of five major diseases would be exempted for patients and subsidy would be allocated for five primary necessities of life,” he said.
