KARACHI:A retired officer of the Pakistan navy was injured on Monday as unidentified gunmen opened fire on him near Shahrae Faisal.
The injured person was identified as AkmalKiyani and, after the incident,
was taken to Jinnah Hospi
tal, Officials said.
A spokesman for the hospital said that the former officer was hit by two bullets and it seemed like a street crime rather than a targeted hit.
Karachi has seen its share of violence related incidents this month, as a po
lice stat
ion was attacked and a police officer was killed in different incidents.
